The great castle stands towering over the misty landscape. A red moon raises over the dark sky radiating an ominous atmosphere. Villages lock their doors tightly and pray for the sun to come soon. Nobody knows what lies beyond those cursed mountains, and those who went to find out never returned...

Korpenhalla is the secluded castle of Lord Blodig, which has haunted the surrounding villages since the great plague, and it's full of cursed treasures guarded by twisted abominations, a loot-and-run dungeon for those who enjoy old-school gameplay.

This dungeon started as a personal challenge of showing all the contents of the original castle Ravenloft in a single isometric illustration 100% compatible with the original module. Failing in this task, I decided to make at least a little homage to it.
I'm also trying a new format that takes advantage of the illustration. The text focuses on giving you rumors to generate adventure hooks, a list of valuable treasures to be stolen, and a bestiary with 6 monsters to fight, but rooms are described only visually through the illustration, which gives the GM inspiration and freedom to come up with traps, puzzles and events that fits their setting.

The colored PDF has versions for three systems: Dungeon Reavers, Mork Borg and Old School Essentials. The black and white PDF has an additional blank page for the GM to add contents or even write his own version of the dungeon.

By donating 6$ or more, you receive access to the editable sketch of the original castle Ravenloft and the final illustration of Korpenhalla, both for personal use only.

Hope you have as much fun as I did with this project. Enjoy! 🎲💖

I LOVE THIS.

I've always loved the idea of an adventure that's just a map. An illustration. And you've really nailed it here. The encounter table and the treasure table and a map. That's all you need. Killer stuff.

I love the style. You can really see everything that is important in one glance and focus on details during the game. Great work!

This is beautiful and I love the theme.

The only thing I was slightly disappointed to see is the rooms aren't keyed.

I imagine the random encounter table is supposed to cover that, but the illustrations show so many interesting features it'd be cool to know the idea behind them.

For me it's only a minor disappointment though, since I'm generally slightly excited to key a map for my own use if the image already evokes ideas.  Already I'm getting some fun ideas as to how different areas got to be the way they are.

Cool stuff.

Thank you for the compliments! ❤️

I left out the room descriptions on purpose to try a new OPD format, I felt confident enough the illustration can inspire the GM's imagination, but it's definitely something I wouldn't do in bigger projects!

Great graphic design. You made a really beautiful piece, lots of information and details, and easy to read.

Thank you!

This (and all your work) is brilliant - love the style and the details included throughout. I'm interested to know what licence you apply to your work - if someone wanted to use this map in a commercial product, for example, would you be happy with that? Assuming correct attribution was provided of course.

Thank you for the compliments!

I only give permission for personal use, for commercial use I ask for a fair compensation (depending on the size and scope of the project) and credits. If you're interested just hit my DMs on twitter or instagram, I do comissions too!

Got it - thanks for the reply! That sounds fair and I'll keep it in mind.

Damaceno's isometric maps are one of the best in the game by far and here is no different. The bonus of having colorful maps adapted to 3 different systems is certainly a sign that Christmas will arrive earlier this year!

Haha I'm glad you enjoyed your christmas gift!
